I bought my first jeep last Saturday. It's an 01 and will be a secondary vehicle used for camping, hunting and weekend off roading. I have three kids ages 5, 3 and 3 and this morning was the first day to go back to my daily driver since I got the jeep. It sounded like someone stole the kids favorite toy when I told them we wern't taking the jeep this morning. The three year olds were crying and the oldest went and got in the jeep and crossed his arms. It was great. I think we are offically a jeep family.
My 2 year-old son is the reason I bought my JKU. After I did a test drive, he wanted to see it so he climbed into the back seat and sat there. Didn't move. Just looked around and didn't want to leave.
During the summer, when I would pick him up after work and had the top down, you've never seen a more happy child! Jumping up and down yelling "AH! TOP!" (he had just turned two so his vocabulary was a bit limited).
Now when I pick him up from my in-laws, he often doesn't want to leave. I say, "ready to go in Daddy's Jeep?" His eyes light up, he literally drops what he's doing, runs to grab his jacket and starts opening the front door ot leave. Kid's gonna be a Jeepper.
