Does anyone have any experience or reviews of this compressor? The specs seem pretty good with 5.65 cfm rating. I just bought the Viair 300 compressor for the same price and may return it for this one. I'm just looking for reviews on it, since the Viair got really good reviews everywhere I looked. I wouldn't want to return it for a lower quality one.
I have one. I won it in the raffle at the Jeep Jamboree last July. It is the larger one...150 liters per minute vs 70 lpm for my Harbor freight model. Smitty also makes a 70 lpm model but I think the 2781 is the large one like I have. It airs up my 35's twice as fast as my HF pump. So far, I have not had any problems with it. I am holding on to the smaller pump just in case! Pics of both below.
What I believe is that Viair has a better reputation that smittybuilt and if you have any need for warranty on a Viair their located off Bake parkway in Irvine.
I would go with VIAIR also, as like you said, they do have a good reputation. A lot of companies will state their air compressor have a certain CFM, but don't hold up to it. If they do, it may be for only a year, as they use cheaper internals and they wear faster.
All VIAIR specs, will hold true right out of the box and years down the road. Hope that helps, but in my opinion, I would stay with the 300P.
But in no way, am I bad mouthing other compressor brands, just letting you know what I found from my experiences and research.
