Snow Plowing

So who out there plows snow other than there own driveway, i live in the UP and a student at NMU we have an abundance of snow, and looking to make some cash on the side i have a 95 wrangler 5spd 4 banger but was looking at geting a plow truck too. was wondering how much you would make plowing snow
per driveway?

any info would be great

People are cheaper than ever....I won't even put my plow on my jeep this year....

It takes money to make money, plowing snow isn't something you do one winter and plan to make money. You don't have any clients and as stated above, money's tight and people aren't going to throw it at you. I'm glad you at least stated you'd get a plow truck since your 4-banger would be working it and wouldn't last in a big job situation.

thanks for the input guys, ya was just wondering cuss i know a guy that is selling his 90's chevy 1500 with plow because he just got a 2008, i guess that just means more snow for me to play in with the yj

I have 2 YJ 4 cyl. with plows. I use them in my 2 business parking lots, because they are small and can maneuver in any tight spot in the lots. I don't plow for others, but I plow my parents driveway. They do awesome for small stuff, but I wouldn't use one for contracting work to the public. The 2 yjs I have only are used in the winter for snow. I won't put a plow on my personal "good clean" jeeps...too much wear, tear, and rust issues. Just my 2 cents.

Plowing is fun but be careful in doing so. Your jeep might be injured.

You can make Ok money plowing snow. I used to make $50.00 an Hr Plowing for a local Company Using my truck Most people wont complain about $30.00 for a driveway Most only take u 10-15 min . I had plows on A 78 Ramcharger 89 Suburban. 96 Dodge Ram 80 Dodge 1 ton Dually over the years Plowed Bank, Fast food , Ins Driveways, Hospitals Nursing Homes and more than once the state Hiway When wife had to get to work.I never had a Trans or axle go out Never bent a frame or had any mech trouble other than an electical plow conection on once in a while. I say go for it but dont Beat it shifting forward to rev. I am looking for a Plow to put on my 98 TJ now
