Snow Wheeling in Ohio This Weekend!

That's right! Didn't even have to get off the road to do it either! Not a good day to be out if you have two wheel drive though. I think I saw at least 13 cars stuck in sidestreet intersections on my way to work. Worst snowstorm in quite a while.

Figures, I get my new BFGs on Tuesday. But as much as I hate to admit it - my GSAs with 25.5K on them did really good.

It's actually snowing harder now, and I don't get out of work till 10pm. Must be at least a foot and a half already and right now it's a white out with winds at least 40mph. One of our lots I drove through 5 hours ago is as challenging as I'd care to get with a stock setup.

Summit county (Akron) is completely closed! Everywhere around NE Ohio police are telling people to stay off the roads. Sounds good to me!

Then this must be a freakin' riot!

My wife called and told me the snowblower won't throw the snow over the top of the piles on the sides of the driveway anymore!

I was up in Weirton, WV/Steubenville OH for a funeral, and we drove down to Tyler Co. WV for the actual burial. It was definitely interesting with the MT/Rs. At least I got to do some snow/mudding on the farm before I left for New Martinsville to the hotel

Well we got 12" of snow this weekend. I got teh Wrangler out for a while, then gave the Patriot a shot at it. Was quite surprised at how well the little Patriot did in this snow. I was at a local park sledding and people were parked alongt the road side, so there was only enough room for one car to drive when som a$$hole forced my off the side of the road down an embankment that had me tipped about 15 degrees to the right and sitting in an unplowed, unmolested foot of snow. It took me a few tries but the thing came out without any assistance.

Well - the suns out today. Official totals in my area are anywhere from 17" to 27"! That's just snowfall - drifts are measured in feet! Started the Jeep this morning and it was loud - like the exhaust wasn't there, but I think it is - at least the tailpipe. Looked under but all I can see is packed snow and ice. I'm thinking all those snowbanks I drove through last night just caked up everything under there and is causing a lot of vibration/noise. I hope. Crap - snow carnage!

here in chicago we've been getting snow every other day.... little but enough to have to plow and throw salt.. it would snow today.. they would plow it and throw salt.. then it would melt and the day after it would snow again.. simply many counties here have ran out of salt.. i wish one of those counties was the one i live in.

Here in CT we have 50F and the lawns are turning green. The birds are flocking and "fishing season" is right around the corner.

I'll be out to visit family again, in Akron, in May, so we'll miss all the fun ya'll are having right now!!

-Soupy1957

P.S. If any of you are in Stow, during the first weekend in May, lemme know...we'll hook up at "Bob's Big Boy!!"

I'm down in Columbus and the official tally we got, which is taken at Port Columbus Airport (because people live there apparently) was 20.4 inches. Took the Wrangler out for a little fun, In 2wd it was rough going, but in 4H it cut through the snow like buttah!
