So, I'm Kind Of Frustrated!

The Jeep was all ready to be picked up from my buddy's shop on Tuesday . They are doing a last minute check of everything. Pump the brakes. And brake lines explode, sending fluid everywhere... THIS SUCKS! Five weeks in the shop and $1400 and still not ready. Jeez! At least this happened in the shop, not on the street! Now, I'm waiting for it to be done, had to cancel plans for hunting this weekend , but thankful I wasn't driving the thing when it happened. Now adding stainless steel brake lines, and bringing my total to $1700...

Look on the bright side. At least you have good brake lines now.
And that the cost of repairs wasn't higher.

My buddy would have me do the work in my garage and he'd come over and help out for beer and pizza

Yea pretty much!
New motor, radiator, starter, carburator, bake lines, water pump, drive shaft, heater core, alot of the electric (lights mainly) and some other little jobs.
+ fixed crack in side of body an some rust issues.
Long process but paid off besides the whole in the wallet.
