So..... What are/have you got for your jeep for Christmas?

I'm not sure if a thread like this exists but I thought it would be cool to see what all the fellow jeepers got/bought for their jeep for Christmas!

My Dad pranked me really good a couple days ago to get my jeep to the shop to get parts installed without me knowing.

First thing he did was call our local police station and asked for a favor. He told them he was going to take my jeep to the shop to get work done on it for christmas and he was going to stage the driveway like it had been stolen.
So they obliged to be a part of it and they took the lisence plate number so that when I called them later on that my jeep had been stolen they would not instigate a search for it. He also told them to give me a call back the next day and say they found but that they were doing a stake-out on it.

So my Dad bought a piece of tempered glass and smashed it into pieces and piled it in the driveway where my jeep had been sitting the night before.

So basically I came out in the morning to go to work and I about dropped a deuce when I saw the glass.
I immediately called the police and they said they said they would begin a search for the vehicle.
I was pretty depressed the whole day. Did I mention I do not have full coverage on it yet?

So the next day they called me and said they found it.
I was really relieved but still pretty depressed.
So the next day (yesterday) we go to the shop where my jeep had been getting work done because my dad needed to pick up on board air for our work truck.
I ended up telling my sales rep at the shop what happened with the jeep and he goes "oh... That's strange because we actually have your jeep here and it's ready to go. We regeared it to 4:10 and installed eaton e-lockers"

I wasn't sure if he was serious so we went in the back and there she was. G2 diff covers, master rebuild seal kits on both axles, regeared, and lockers

Thanks Dad!!!!!
The prank was really well planned in such little time.
This wasn't the first Christmas prank and I'm sure it won't be the last

Ps- sorry for any puncuation or grammar errors I typed all this up on my phone

So what did you guys get for your jeep!?

haha, outstanding setup/story!

My sis had brown santa drop off some new sway bar links (non-quickies, but I'm McGuyvering some up).

My friend sent me a portable air compressor that runs off the cigarette lighter so i can air back up on the spot.

Both inexpensive things, but possibly very useful.

My sons 88 XJ got a 3" lift, the wifes 97 ZJ got some new Maxxis Bighorns, and vent shades.
My 90 Wrangler only got a new drivers front caliper. The front wheel locked-up the other day
I wish I had some money left to start on the Willys, but there is always something else with a yard full of Jeeps

Great prank by you're dad!

I bought my Jeep some side steps, grab handles, fuel filler door, tow hitch w/wire harness. Everything installed already except the fuel filler door. It'll be in next week.

For the hi-lift, the jeep got the hi-lift for Christmas along with a half cab top, dome kill switch, mirror relocation brackets, second set of grab handles, and a Congo cage (when I can get to pick it up).

Great prank! Somehow I don't think the cops here would go along with something like that, so I should really be nervous if I go out and my Jeep is gone!

i got a couple of underdash LEDs

the only really modification i did to my jeep was a hole in the lower panel in front of my drive sticks to install the OFF/ON switch...

Ran a wire from my battery (positive), directly to my switch... and i ground the LED strip light using an existing bolt/nut under my dash...

here is a diagram of what i did..

NO fuse...... fk` it!

I would strongly urge you to put a fuse in your hot wire. Take it from a guy with an eet (electronic engineering tech) degree and a former experience on having a short without one it can be very bad and even cause a fire. Protect your baby a fuse is cheep insurance

I didn't get anything. My wife was going to get a Quadratec console or a Smittybuilt tailgate cover, but I never got back to her on specifically what I wanted. I almost took my Christmas bonus to by myself a bumper, but instead decided my iPhone 3 crapping out determined I needed a new phone more...so I will wait a bit longer for my bumper.

So really my fault I didn't get the storage stuff I wanted.

Check the packaging for your leds and see what the current draw for them. They normally don't pull much power I would guess a 5amp would be plenty but not knowing any details on your leds it is a guess.
