soft top

Got a question...the stitching on the soft top of my tj is comming apart above the doors, will this drastically deminish the integrety of it? If so, what do I do about it; get it repaired or replace?

Get a leather sewing awl at a hobby shop and stitch it back up. If it's the area mine tore, where the top is stitched to the clips for the door surrounds, it's not hard to re sew. The awl will run you less than $20 and includes thread, so you're set.

Yup, sew it yourself. It's not that hard. I bought a set of heavy assorted needles for tent/tarp/sail/etc repair and the heaviest brown nylon thread they had at my local Hancock fabrics.
