Soft top

Will a 1996 soft top fit a 1997 jeep?

There was no production 96 Wrangler. The 95 was the last YJ and 97 started the TJ model so chances are it will not.

edit: Now that I think about it, I guess that you have a 50/50 chance.

Where did you find a 96 soft top... Some aftermarket companies list 96 as the first year of the tj basically because the yj is 87-95 it might just be a misprint on their part so you could contact them and Insure that it is a top for a tj, which is what you need.

Do you know the Jeep the older top came off of?

If the older top is on a YJ (square headlights) it will not fit the newer Jeep (round headlights).

If both Jeeps have round headlights, you're good.
