Soft top & Sun Rider

So I'm in love with my wrangler, the pros certainly outweigh the cons. I had to go back to the dealership and get a brief lecture about the soft top. I was driving myself nuts trying to detach the rear window from the back, and failed miserably, apparently the guy at the dealership indicated it's best to keep it on and just roll it up, when taking off the soft top.

Also, he said leave the soft top in the hot baking sun, so it'll soften up and the material will become a little stretchier. Everything is so new, I was wearing myself out when I tried to re-attach the sun rider top for the proverbial sun roof features. It's really tough to get the plastic sleeve brackets into those little latches on the side I guess because the material is new and not stretchy.

Bottom line, if anyone can offer any tips or advice for easier de-attachment and re-attachment of the sunrider & soft top, please by all means. I need all the good feedback I can get it.

Be patient and give it some time. The only difficulty I have is that it is work to get the side part towards the top of the side windows to wrap properly in the channel of the door. Just the very upper part. I really have to use a lot of finger pressure and I can never quite get it exact. Otherwise, no issues.

Thanks Dude & Evil...good feedback, I do have that vid saved on my favorites, Dude. I skimmed over the entire owner's manual and familiarized myself with a lot of jargon.

The sun-rider top is fine when I attached the plastic sleeves into the side latches, before I was trying to close it on the front windshield latches and it just would stretch and did scratch the hooks a tiny bit, but oh well.

In regards to the rear window, guy at the deal ship insisted I keep it on, zip it up to the center, roll it up on towards the inside and use the straps to hold it in place when taking the side too down completely.
