Soft Top care

Hey I just bought a new Unlimited TJ with the dual top option, its summer and i plan on keeping the soft top on until winter but I have some questions on maintenance. Iíve seen soft tops with windows completely fogged out/scratched up and torn along with the roof itsself. Is there a trick to keeping them in their original clear condition or is it just considered inevitable? Thx

it seems obvious to me-but a lot of people just don't take care of the PLASTIC windows. Mine in my old soft-top were in very good shape. But I stored them in a "window bag". If you wheel off road where branches mud and dirt are thrown up on them they will get scratched.

Just remember they are Plastic-it does scratch and will crack or Break" in the winter-but you have duel tops so you are good

I have a 2010 Rubicon 2 door with a soft top, I store the windows in a Bestop window roll, I try to clean them before storing them with the plastic window cleaner, I do have some scratches from 4 wheelin (upstate NY lots of brush) its tough not to get the scratches in this area. The top itself I wash and use Bestop conditioner on it, and put zipper lube on the zippers......

When I take out my windows I usually store them out of the way in a little used room (my dining room). I usually clean them once a month with a product called Novus. I bought it in kit form with step 1, 2 & 3. As I bought my Jeep used, my windows were a little scratched up. Used all 3 steps and removed quite a few of the scratches. I now clean them monthly with just step 1. I plan on making my own window roll kit so that I can take my windows with me. As for the top, whenever I wash the Jeep, I clean the top with Raggtop vinyl cleaner and I used to use the Raggtop protectant. But now I've switched to the 303. I like the 303 better. The hubby uses the Raggtop for his Miata. My Jeep is a 2008 and my top looks brand new still.
