soft top compatability

are soft tops cross compatable? i keep finding tons of cheap yj tops but nothing good in the cj department. if i get a yj top will it fit my cj? i know the roll bar is different but i figured it was worth a try.

while were on the subject of tops, do hardtops cross over as well.

thanks in advance

Most CJ and YJ soft tops should cross over. Roll bar for most tops doesn't matter, since they go right over the bar.

Hardtops will also span CJ and YJ years, BUT there may be an issue with your doors.
YJ upper doors are either rounded, for a soft top, or squared, for a hardtop.

If you look at our Supertop, for example, you'll see it's all about the doors. If you get a Supertop with no doors, one top covers all Jeeps from 76-95.

If you want doors, it gets a bit more model-year specific.
