Soft top question

When you put your top down do you take your back window out or just unzip on the sides and roll it up and then bring the tops down?

I have a 2 door 13 and the back window is a pain in the backside to put in. I afraid I might screw it up if I leave it in.

When I take my top down, I take out all the windows and store them in a window storage bag in the back of my jeep. Having owned several jeeps over the years, I've learned the hard way that rolling the window up while still on the softtop only creates scratches on the windows. It is worth the investment into the softtop window storage bags.

What's your take on the window rolls they sell.

It then has straps that wrap around the roll cage frame and the roll sits on top of where the soft top is folded down. I put the tailgate bar between the blanket roll and the nylon bag. The roll can't be overly loose or there isn't room for the tailgate bar. I think it looks nice and organized this way. It's about the same width as the top the way I roll it and I always try to stick to directions. It's surely a good way to take your windows with you. It recently has been nice and hot during the day and then chilly <50 at night, so it's good to have your windows with you where you go so you can put them on for whatever the circumstance. There are alternatives (temporary covers, etc.) to this. Honestly, this is a felt blanket and sewed nylon with some straps. I bought it because I didn't think I could make it with no experience, but I'm sure it would be pretty easy to fabricate one. Just illustrating my positive experience with this one. I'm sure the bestop and other products are just as good like others indicated. Pick the one the best fits your needs -or- take some of these very crafty, resourceful members' advice and use the things around you and/or make a system that suits your needs.
A post I made to a similar question. I hope it's helpful.

I have the Bestop window storage roll and would recommend it.
Pretty much the same as the Clover roll, only it fits in the rear of the Jeep behind the seat.
Determination: the feeling you get right before you do something incredibly stupid.

Some of the reviews on Amazon says the Besttop roll isn't long enough for the rear window, leaving 8 inches of window exposed. Is that true?
