You have my sympathies....

I guess in a way, it is fun. But, it's going to be cold as hell in a hole in the desert this time of year.

Is it still at Indian Springs?

Only two weeks now? Well, at least that is an improvement. Still bad enough though.

Good luck and try to keep warm.

This time last year i was freezing my tail off in Afghanistan, the Ocala jeep club sent us a care package which included several copys of JP magizine, to a soldier magizines are gold I read those things cover to cover several times, this is how I became interested in Jeeps. when I got back home I bought my jeep it was stock. Its far from that now. I joined a jeep club and have been jeepin ever since.

Yikes. That's a great idea. I'm going to check with the staff of Wrangler Forum to see about gathering old jeep mags from members to ship oversees for our troops.

Thanks for your post!! I love it!

If anyone wants to donate old Jeep mags to ship to the troops, PM me. If anyone will ship to me, I'll pay shipping to get them to the troops overseas in a big care package. It won't cost much to ship to me.

That's a fantastic idea Amerijeep. You should start a sticky thread so it doesn't get buried away. I'm sure I have some mags layin' around here. They're well read but I'm sure they got a couple more reads in them Let us know where to send them.

Well, I think I am going to create a thread and sticky it somewhere. I was waiting to hear from more of the WF staff to see if they had any ideas.

Continued Thanks!

Due to some health problems, employment demands, and the death of my father, I've been away for a couple of months and was surprised to see the thread still going. As a leader in a local Military Family Support Group, we just had a homecoming for a local unit returning from convoy duty in Iraq. The unit lost 4 in the sandbox but all were glad they went as they could see firsthand the tremendous job they were doing to change the lives of people who had lived 30 years under a vicious and violent regime. The bottom line is that it's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing with the war; it's a matter of supporting our troops. Any other comments or kudos anyone has for our service personnel as we enter into the holiday season, please add a post for their support. Thanks!

Thought all the soldiers and for that matter everyone on this forum would appreciate this. When we were going through rural Wisconsin we saw this memorial to American soldiers. Had to stop, salute, and get a pic. Wish the picture was better but our camera isn't that good. Hang in there you are all appreciated here.

Wow. I love finding unexpected memorials. I think they speak well of the country, that we do appreciate, and always remember. I had pictures that have long since been lost of a memorial to the men who drowned in an accident on my brother's ship when a helicopter caught and flipped off the deck. It was makeshift, but it was very poignant.

Good picture Odhinn, nice thoughts.

Merry Christmas to Our Service Personnel

Hey, Odhinn, thanks for the pic. It was great! To all of our service personnel serving away from home this Christmas, just want to remind you that you remain in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season. Also want to lift up your families at home as well. Know we appreciate your sacrifice and your dedication more than we can ever adeqautely express. You are not forgotten! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for starting this thread.
We in the military appreciate the support we get from all the great people here.

One of our local run's on Memorial Day has a flag salute to all military members, current and past. It is a tear jerker, and everyone stands and salutes any current active duty members there.
