Some issues

My jeep has been running fine, it's a 98 wrangler, now since I've moed down to valdosta to finish college, it's been sitting for days at a time. Yesterday, when I cranked it up it shook really bad, the shifter knob was bouncing back and forth. For some time, it's been difficult to get it into first after starting it, it takes a hard push and some time to coax it into that first gear, and it only does it once, and after that it shifts smooth as silk. No it bucks like I'm new to drivin a stick when I go into gear, and it shakes. My dad says it's the slave cylinder, any hints guys?
