Someone Pissed in My Jeep

Now I live in a college apartment complex at East Stroudsburg University, there's no doors on my Jeep (they're in the back), but I still have my hardtop on (nowhere to put it).

I came out this morning to head to work, all dressed up. There's two Solo cups sitting behind my Jeep and I go this can't be good. Sit down in my seat, and yea, the whole drivers seat is soaking wet. Passenger seat is perfectly dry.

Well maybe it's water right? No, it reeks... no doubt piss.

Grabbed a towel, called my boss, and headed into work.

Least someone didn't steal my doors or sleep in the back of my car.

My friends and I were tailgating after a Dolphins victory years ago when a drunken yahoo (also Dolphin fan) came staggering by with his friends. He proceeded to deploy his winkie and was about to piss on my buddy's front fender. I approached the fellow and let him know that if he did that, I would join his skull with my Heineken bottle in a bloody unholy union --- a hell of a way to go to the ER, with your wiener sticking out of your pants and pee on your britches.
He put it away, thought about throwing a punch, then went off with his friends in a flurry of obscenities.

I can't imagine the type of person who'd piss in your Jeep. They'd be pretty stupid to think you wouldn't thrash them if caught. And I doubt that any LEO would fault you for it.

that SUCKS big time.

i guess now you have to worry about cleaning it. here is how i deal with when our puppies pee in the cars:

use a carpet cleaner vacuum thingy,(we own one, but you can also rent them) a standard carpet shampooer will generally not work on a car seat cause they are designed to be pushed around like a vacuum on carpet, not clean a seat. once you have that just go to town on your seat, may as well do the rest of the jeep while you have it. if you want, go to a pet store and see if they have anything that would help clean it. stuff for dogs and cats work great for people to. the sooner you can clean it the better, if you wait, ur seat will really soak it up and you may just have to replace the seat.

Well, now I've heard it all. That's not even remotely funny. Get some pet stain remover, and they also have some sort of enzyme treatment for urine. I'm not sure what it's called. You may be able to get it out, but letting it dry before cleaning it won't be your best bet. Good luck.

Dude . . . that totally sucks. Are there any camaras around where you parked? Sure would be nice to find out who did this, and pay him a visit. As far as the clean up . . . like others have mentioned, if possible, get to it right away. Seeing how you mentioned that it was soaked, I'd probably remove the seat from the Jeep so I could really work on it. I would agree about the pet store products and using a carpet steam type cleaner on it, but I'm just not sure if that is going to penetrate deep enough. I'd probably be tempted to take the seat out...flush it with water to get out as much as possible and then treat it with the pet stuff and use the carpet cleaner to remove stains and as much water as you can and would leave the seat somewhere warm and dry where the padding can dry out. Good luck man.

^X2 Take the seat out, that is just ridiculous to hear that some drunk person would disrespect your property like that... If I found out who did it, not only would he get a beating, but his drivers seat covered in pee too

I've always thought/feared this actually happening since you always see convertibles getting barfed into in Movies/TV.

Since I'm up at college I don't have access to my SteamVac, so what I did was use some high traffic carpet cleaner and then go to the local car wash and use the vacuum. Just sprayed the hell out of the seat and vacuumed over and over again. Got the smell out pretty well and when I'm home in two weeks I'll go back over the seat.

I'd love to find out who did it, but I'd rather not get involved with the management of the complex. I've already had a few problems of my own that have required me to be down there (throwing parties ).

It sucks that others can't respect peoples property. It reminds me of when I was 13 and someone stole my ATV right out of my backyard, tore the ignition out and dumped it in a ditch by my house. I guess the thief doesn't realize that I had worked since 5th grade to save up the $3500 for it. It sucks that people are so petty.

Odor Mute...it comes in a small box and costs under $10. You just gotta mix it with water. This is also one of the most effective methods of actually getting rid of cat urine if you're unlucky enough to have one that decides to pee all over the house.

Not only am I an animal lover (except my roommate's cat)...but I also worked in a pet store for over a year and I was very good at my job

Edit: Nature's Miracle is kind of hit or miss... we had quite a few people return it/complain about it not working worth a crap for them when I worked in the pet store. Others loved it. Never heard any complaints on the Odor Mute and my store manager swore by it.

When I lived in Key Largo, I had a big K5 Blazer that I left the roof off most of the time. Had a couple of iguanas get into it one night from a hibiscus bush next to the dock and they evidently got into a fight and crapped ALL over the front seats of the Blazer. It looked like someone gave the poor buggers Colon Blow it was so bad. I removed both seats and the front carpet. I SOAKED them in Shout (stain remover for laundry), let them sit and soak for an hour, then blasted them with my neighbor's pressure washer. Let them dry on the dock for a couple of hours before replacing them back into the Blazer. No stains and no smell at all other than a light odor of Shout (smelled good). In fact, the seats went back into the Blazer much better looking (and smelling) than they ever looked prior to the iguana crap.

I had a jackass roommate in college who told me he once threw a milkshake into the back of someones convertible, he took pride in it. He was not a great or trustworthy guy at all, still dont like him to this day, some people just do everything to bring people above them down

I had a cat pee in my Miata back in college. It was never the same.

I used that enzyme spray (I soaked the seat in it).
I used basically every thing on the shelf @ Walmart, and had little luck.

On damp days the smell came back.

Personally I'd look into new seats...and a gun.

In my other miata (again in college) I had a guy throw a big gulp at me @ 45mph. he was a good aim...luckily it was coke, I shampooed the carpets, cleaned the rollbar/dash/console/underside of the soft top. and it was like it never happened. Luckily for him I didn't carry a firearm back then.

Luckily for you, you don't drive a Miata anymore......

I used to instal flooring in the day. Many places were replacing carpet due to pet urine.Go to your local carpet store and tell them you need odor eliminator. This stuff is so strong it will bring tears to your eyes. After it sets awhile it smells like men's cologne.Very spendy but will cover up any nasty smell I promise. The only thing we ever found to eliminate cat urine smell.

These people were clearly blotto, and in their defense let me admit something about myself: One time I woke up in the morning after some heavy drinking and my girlfriend was very angry at me which isnt too out of the ordinary. I asked her why, and she responded with "Oh you dont know!?!?" I said no and she went on to explain that after we got home and went to bed the previous night she was awakened by a splattering liquid sound very early in the morning. She said she looked up and I was standing at the foot of the bed doing the old number one. She said to me "Are you peeing on my laptop" and I shouted very cheerfully with "You bet I am!" She proceeded to smack me and I finished up in the toilet like a good boy and went back to sleep. I have absolutely no recollection of this event at all and I only know what I've been told by my GF. The moral of the story is drunk people do STUPID stuff and dont mean to (sometimes). Personally if I found someone relieving their internal pressures into my Jeep I would swiftly crack them in the noggin with whatever hard or heavy object was within reach. Sorry about your seat, friend.

I hang out with a big group of friends and were all really close like family. One of our friends got a girlfriend with a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4 cylinder. Well she was great at first but she started screwing our friend over and treating everyone like crap. We still put up with it because we love our friend too much to quit hanging out with him just because of his girlfriend. They broke up so we told him how we felt about her. He was hanging out with us every day but then they decided to get back together. So we still are hanging out with him and being nice to her because she is his girlfriend and she continues to be rude to us all. Another couple who is are our friends also is living with them. They were all great friends in the beginning but that changed too. Pretty soon they were all living in the same house but our friend and his girlfriend started not even speaking to the other couple. Then my friend and his girlfriend start asking for more money and stuff like that from the couple just being jerks. The couple comply and give them as much as they possibly can. They started fighting more and more so when the guy from the couple would get drunk he would go oustide and piss under the floormats of her jeep. It happened quite a bit. It would still be happening if they didnt move out. I dont like the Jeep being treated like that but she definitely deserved it.

There's some things you just don't do and pissing in a mans jeep is one of them. Every time I read something like this I lose more and more faith in humanity. Get some pet stain and enzyme stuff and it should come out but man I'm sorry....karma is a B*tch he will get his.

When I was in college 10+ years ago I decided to have a small party at my apartment off campus. The next morning I come downstairs to a trashed house (which I expected) someone had also pissed on my area rug in the middle of my living room. That's the last time I ever threw a party. I never found out who it was and I'm kind of glad because I probably would have done something I would have regretted.
