Stereo questions

I just bought an 05' Rubicon. It has the factory subwoofer in the armrest. Has anyone done anything with this setup to make the sub sound better? Replaced it with an aftermarket etc? It seems to me the frequency setup on it is a little too high.

Also, I cant figure out where to put my satellite radio antenna. I am trying different spots inside the cab. Am I going to have to put it on the cowl somewhere? Hmm, maybe a marine version might work...........

Is that sub an 8" if so it's not gonna make the lower tones like 10" or 12" what kind of amp? Also could be compression issue with not having a box and the jeep not being very well sealed... I don't imagine it would sound to good with a soft top or summer tops.
And the antenna a pic would be nice but I would think the dash would work or if you want it out side and if it's flat put it above your tail light that's probly where I would stick it.

In my TJ, I put the Serius antenna on top of one of the speakers (passenger side) on the soundbar. Had great reception, with both hard and soft top. Just put a little piece of duct tape on the wire right in front of the antenna disk. It's out of sight that way too. Ran the wire under the defroster vent and then through the roll bar padding.

Quadratec...$24 for velcro straps?
