Stock JK - $2700 budget, What do I do?

My first post on this forum and also my 1st Jeep. I'm picking up a 2008 4-door JK Unlimited Sahara on Wednesday. Now the question is...What do I do with my limited budget of $2700? What would YOU do?

Just a heads up, I've got my eyes set on the Mickey Thompson MTZ's and the Mickey Thompson Classic II rims in black. These will eventually be mine, just not sure if I should use the $2700 on it now or wait and do something else with the cash.

I'd love to hear your thoughts...

If it were me, I'd start with skid plates before wheels and tires. Then, it would be 'recovery' items: recovery straps, winch, etc. My opinion; your Jeep with stock wheels and tires may be FAR better off on the trail with good protection and recovery devices than a rig with cool tires and a lift, but nothing else.

Of course, I should have asked first if you were going off road. My opinion assumes offroad use.

What are your plans for the Jeep? Is it going to be a daily driver or a weekend only vehicle?

How are you going to wheel matters how you spend the money.

this will get you far if YOU do the work of installing.
Tires on factory rims (spacers if neded)
Lockers
Budget Bust
Engo Winch (heck of a winch that is 290 shipped)

Congrats on the new Jeep & welcome to the foum. Don't forget to look at the ACE sliders. They are very affordable & quite beefy. Oh, I'd also stub the plastic bumpers like, YESTERDAY.(60$) Another random thought, I wouldn't go 35 inch tires till you have more $ saved up!!
