Stolen Jeeps (not mine just a security awareness)

Hello all

I've been seeing quite a few stolen rigs being posted on other forums around the Pa, MD, DE, and NJ and that surrounding stateline area. (which is right around where I live) I feel really bad for the owners and really hope that they get their Jeeps back. I'm also very worried about my own rig and others around me.

I was wondering about security. I have the gorilla enhanced vehicle alarm right now but if you managed to open the hood slowly enough you could just cut the power cable to it (even from under under the jeep). I was wondering if anyone has ever had or seen a special winch hook that they could tether to a house or garage (similar to the way a laptop locks to tables) in addition to alarms and such.

Heres hoping those rigs come back home safe and sound.

(P.S.:Not all our Jeeps fit in garages )

The YJ is in Rebuild Mode

I've seen where guys install hidden ignition cut-offs when they live or drive in high crime areas. And, you could always buy a wheel boot like the parking authorities use.

Just trigger that thing to fire when the driver side door is opened up and your good to go! Of course you would have to have a switch or something so you don't blow yourself up.

Not sure how the new viper alarms work, but I know they are now GPS and can find your car pretty much anywhere, plus if you have an iphone you can start and turn off your car from anywhere, plus lock and unlock the doors. Its not cheap though. I think it starts around $500.
