storing hard doors

This summer I wanna take my Hard doors off. I don't want them just laying around on the ground in my garage. I have seen on some websites what appears to just be some strong brackets that you screw into a wall stud. But it is too much money for what it is.

I've seen wall hangers at stores before but they are generally only rated to 50lbs.

How much do the doors weigh? How do you guys store your hard doors when you go nekkid?

I bought some L shaped brackets at the hardware store and made my own. I attached them to some 2x4's and screwed them into the wall (studs). So far so good. I'll take some pics later if you'd like.

Also, they weigh about 50 - 60 pounds (guessing).

Thanks.

I think I picked them up at Ace Hardware for about $ 15- $ 20 each. They're just metal tube with foam padding wrapped around them. I've had them up for about 18 months and haven't had any problems.

Scout, I can't quite make it out, did you just use garden hose hangers mounted on the wall? That's what it looks like, if so, thats a great idea!

This is what I used last summer for my top and doors, worked great, I could move them around as needed, no damage. A little pricier than Scouts method, but I can finally say that I spent more than Scout on something Jeep related!

Similar to garden hose hangers but these are much stronger.

So the consensus is that the hangers need to hold at least 50lbs?

At least 50 pounds. They're heavier than you think they are.

I thought they weighed more than 50lbs, but all of those off the shelf storage hangers that I have seen are only 50lbs rated...

Here is what I put together. It's a little shelf with carpet on it and a lip on the front, and a wood block that rotates to hold the top.

Whole bracket:
