stupid question

i'm saving up for a lift and tires and a few other things. i'll have to get everything in pieces, probably lift and then tires. my question is: will it look odd to run my jeep with a 2.5 lift, but still run 30 inch tires.

I have been running mine with a 2 in. lift and 30's for a while and it's not as bad as you would think, although it is a major motivator to save a little extra change to go ahead and get those tires you want. I am finally going sunday to get a set of 33's!!
With 2 in BB and 30's

that's down from an angle too, there is less fender space if you are level. I am kind of afraid that it is gonna be a tight fit with 33's and just 1 more inch of body lift, but I guess we will see how it works out!!

If the tires don't fit I am gonna throw one heck of a fit then figure out what I have to do to make them fit!! I have been waiting for them for about 2 1/2 months now and I am ready!!

IMO it will look a little odd. but go for it if you can't afford tires at the same time.

Who cares if it looks a little funny for a while. Build it as you can and just visualize what it will look like in the end

How do u like that? seems like the stock step metal frames can be flipped over to gain the ~2" back and close the gap

I'm running a stock Jeep on 30's
so with a 2 inch lift, u could go bigger, like 31's. just my thoughts

^what he said My rig is with 2" bl on 30s.. plenty of space under the fenders Unfortionetly i dont want to get 31s now and then get 33s few months later so now i'm saving up for a lift and once i get it at that point i will get 33s (maybe bigger)

I have no lift on my 88YJ and I run 31 by 10.5's. What is the problem with that? Guess I am just lucky or something.

Just flipped my stock frames.. the main problem was the nuts holding the metal pieces to the plastic wouldnt come off the screws (rust) since it kept spinning with the nut so i had to brake them off so i can unscrew them and then drill through the plastic steps and install my own bolts. Well enough talking, here it is.

mabe i should make my own thread instead of hijacking others threads lol
