Survey, Are you a Bumper or a Crawler?

When I went on my first trail, I was going as slow as possible wich I now know as Crawling. Where as the other person with me just used straight momentum going about 3-5mph to bump and get over everything. So are you a Bumper or a Crawler or both?

Im primarily a crawler but a little of both now. I crawl as often as possible untill its absolutely neccessary to bump over with a little bit of momentum.

both. There is a time and a place for each. If your going some place you shouldn't go, like trying to follow a vehicle with 35" tires that left ruts at the bottom of a hill and you only have 30" tires... third times the charm... just keep going faster each try, youll bounce over it eventually...

When I was open with 3.07s and 31s I did a lot more bumping. The YJ just responds to it better, but now with some more meat under the fenders and deeper gears I can crawl over the obstacles that I'm s'posed to.

I absolutely HATE following a CRAWLER on the trail when there is no need for it...you know, the guy that shifts down to 1st gear low AND STAYS THERE for the entire run! That' s just rude...plain rude. Holds up the entire line and no need for it. Crawl on the obstacles, shift up and GO when there isn't anything to bump over! Safety first of course...but 5 mph on a graded dirt road? And it's not always the newbie in their brand new zero miles off the lot jeep! You sometimes wonder if the crawler had a heart attack and the jeep is on autopilot!
I'm not a speed demon either...but I hate to have to RIDE MY BRAKES to keep up!
