Sylvania Silverstars

I just replaced my headlights with the Silverstars, I notice that when shining on my garage door, one of them has more of blue tint than the other. Is that normal?

hope u didn't spend alot on em, those silverstars are all snake oil products. if you want brigter light you need higher wattage. most OEM bulbs are 50 to 60 watts. check your package I bet it says 55watts. Get yourself some 100 watt bulbs and then tell me how bright it is.
As for that 'blue' tint they color the glass blue for that 'european' HID look. that is a matter of preferance, I happen to like the way the blue tinted bulbs look while driving, it seems to give you a cleaner view of the road.

Yea, they are 55 watts. I paid 30 bucks for the pair. I don't see a big difference in how much brighter but definitely a whiter light. I don't mind the blue tint, it is however only one of the lights and not both, which I thought was a little odd.

check the white bulb to see if it says sylvania on it. sounds like somebody returned the bulbs and stuck one of their old ones in it. they should both match color-wise. 30 bucks is a bit steep for a blue tinted OEM style bulb IMHO. thats 30 wendys jr cheese burgers.

Both the lights say Sylvania Performance. Both boxes were sealed when I bought them. I wanted to check them out see how they were, I figure if I don't like them and they burn out, I won't buy them again.

see if they only look blue at one angle, like move up and down and see if the color of the bulb seems to change depending on where you're standing, my old jetta used to play that trick on me with my bulbs.

I'd rather get some of these instead of some of those "true white" bulbs - http://www.4x4xplor.com/ipf-h4.html

I wish I would have seen that before. Does anyone have this conversion? What's the life span of these bulbs?
