Synthetic Oil

Is synthetic oil good for a 1998 Jeep Wrangler 6 cylinder ?

Its just personal choice. And what you do with your truck may influence your choice.

I would say for hardcore abuse yes a synth would probably stand the heat better when you beat on the motor - my logic for using full synth in my modded turbo car. I would have to work to cook it spooling the turbo.

But even more important than dino vs.synth is making sure you just change it at good interval and change the filter - this keeps motors alive more than anything.

This forum is full of good advice on synthetic oil it is also full of people giving advice about oil they no nothing about. Be careful of which you read. I have been using Klotz and Mobil 1 for years in everything I own.
The parts truck where I work is a 1999 chevy s-10 with a 4 cylinder has been on Mobil 1 since it was new as of today it has 364000 miles on it and uses no more oil than any new car. Do some research before taking anyone's advice on this remember it's Your engine.

I personally feel comfy with syn due to TX heat, but I also believe as long as you change it and keep clean oil in your engine to keep it lubed up it will last
