Synthetic Oil and 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Hi all, had a question. I'm at Jiffy Lube right now getting an oil change and the guy told me that my car can't take regular oil and it must take synthetic. I just paid $100 for 7 qrts of their cheapest?

I don't believe it though. Can my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited take just normal oil?

I've never paid $100 for an oil change in my life... seems ridiculous.

I think you should be talking to the manager of that establishment and have them produce their written guidance on servicing your vehicle. I bet their story will change.

This is why people should NEVER go to a quick lube place.

6 quarts of synthetic of your choice is less than $30 at Walmart. However, as has already been said, your Jeep came with regular oil and there is nothing wrong with continuing to use regular oil in it.
