Synthetic oil change lifter noise

Just did the change from regular oil to full synthetic oil in my 2004 rubicon. She's got 68k miles on it so I decided to switch over to full synthetic. I've driven about 300 miles since the change and I've noticed way more lifter ticking at start up, sometimes pretty loud. Never really heard the lifters tick like they are now. Seems to be a lot louder since I switched to full synthetic. Any one else notice this? Should I go back to standard oil?? Thanks for the help.

Some people have experianced this on startup and blame it on the filter. I have the same questions as you so I'll be interested in the replies you get.

I have Synthetic in both my Mazda PU and my wifes Saturn....YES, you will hear a little noise from the engine using Synthetic. Every engine I have listened to that was switched from Dyno oil to Synthetic was noisier .
I don't think it's anything to be too concerned about.
I had a friend who used Mobil 1 in his Harley....It rattled so bad it scared him, he dumped it out and put the Harley oil back in...
Just run it, your getting the best lubrication you can get in my opinion.... "BH"
