Synthetic winch line ?

Hello I would like some input on Synthetic winch line.
I am looking at amsteel blue it is all over the net but I would like to hear how tough it is and what i can expect out of it realistically ? I have a warn m8000 And it is hard to imagine rope replacing wire rope but if i could it does seem to have some safty and ease of use benefits but I can not find good reliable info on the stuff .
I would love to get these questions answered if I was going to do it how thick of line can I use is 3/8" as big as I can go ? Can I use 1/2 without it getting in the way if itself ? Can I still winch sideways without destroying the line ? Why don't roller fairleads work with this stuff i would think the rollers would help reduce abrasion witch from what I hear is the Synthetic lines worst enemy . I have done a fair amount of searching but it seems as though most info out their is from the manufacturing or selling parties of this stuff so I would like sone un biased info and opinions or at least get a idea of if I should stick to steel cable or make the jump to the Synthetic side ? thank you

Who is the manufacture, that would be the place to ask, personaly I would not like not useing rollers, if the rollers are going to damage the line, you have to make sure that it was allways pulling in a stright line, and how offten doe's that happen?

I like the synthetic line I have it on my Jeep Wrangler it works fine and if it ever breaks its not going to snap back and damage my Jeep or kill me which is a bonus. I have the smitty built 12,000lb grey synthetic line on my Warn Powerplant HD 12,000. I just couldn't put blue line on my silver Jeep like some of the other companies make. No you really shouldnt use rollers but I know Daystar makes polyurthane rollers for roller fairleads I dont know how well they work. I use the smooth aluminum fairlead from Smittybuilt. The benifits of synthetic are great, no metal splinters in your hands, its lighter, easyly workable, safer, it like I said b4 it floats and its just as strong or more than steel line.

I have one of these with a Spidertrax aluminum fairlead and love it. The synthetic rope is SO much nicer to work with than a steel cable, not to mention safer.
That's what she said.

Amsteel blue is by far the toughest rope you can get. We used it on a buddys project last year because it was the same price as Warn wanted for the wire rope after shipping and such. 5/16" rope is rated for more than the steel wire and so far has lived up to its rating. Just get an aluminum hawse fairlead and your good to go at all angles. The other cool thing is that you can unroll some and swing it around like a lasso or up over a hill alot easier than wire....and it also floats
