taunted and bored at work

its been raining in socal all week so far and makes my work days soooo boring. to top it off there are some rad dirt trails going up several hills right behind my work. but its private property, therefore i feel as if im being taunted by having those hills stare me right in the face everyday. should i risk a fine/incarceration and just find a way to get back there? did i mention im bored?

Don't do it without the owner's permission! These are the things that give us a bad reputation in the community. Take some of your down time and try to locate the owner. You can usually look that up on the web under public records. Contact them and see how they feel about it before you get into trouble. In the mean time.....close the blinds

From the news, it looks like you might need 4x4 and big tires just to get home.

So what you are trying to say is that cardboard armor wont be able to hold up against the rain?

You not only risk a fine, trespassing charge, etc.-but you also risk having a private landowner gate and lock out EVERYONE for using his land without permission-and then the local clubs will also be locked out. Is there a local offroading club you can hook up with? They are the ones that would be scouting out trails, getting permission from landowners, etc. and also carry insurance against land damage (like our local clubs in New England have) so it's worth it to YOU to join a club...also gives you people to offroad with...#1 cardinal rule-never go offroading alone! If something happens to you or your rig, you are stuck out there!

You could use the cardboard to block the water from your radiator. That way you can go thru the really big puddles really really fast. I read that online somewhere, so it's gotta be true.

Seems pretty logical, may have to try that out

Out of curiosity, why would you want to block water from the radiator?

Jon

Well, I was really just joking about uses for cardboard, and all the rain in Cali.

BUT the idea is not to block the radiator but rather to keep it away from the fan. A better idea is to not go into water deep enough to make that a concern.
