Here's an idea if you want to make your CJ all-electric.

Exactly, and I intend to do the same for my Scout and LJ if we get to a point where we lose access to gasoline as part of the proposed infrastructure changeover to charging stations. I guess I've got 30-40 years to save up for the conversion, which is around $7,000-10,000 2012 USD. I might even try to find a CJ-6, (preferrably '72 and later) and do the conversion on that if anything were to happen to the LJ.
