I always wave, (the two fingers off the wheel head nod wave..lol). One day I was driving the wife's CRV and I instinctively waved at a TJ going bye, the guy probably thought I was some kind of nut.

I was doin 65 on the express way the guy infront of me decided to lock up his breaks for no reason. I took the shoulder to avoid hitting him, hit a patch of ice. Went up the embankment and slammed in to the side of a bridge. My left hand went through the windshield. my knees went through the dash and my chest bent the steering wheel.

Funny story my friend drives a patriot. Today I dropped her off at class in her jeep. Well while driving back to where I live I saw a few TJs on the route back. I did the jeep wave and got some really disgusted looks. One cutie in a jeep looked at me and then back at the road. It was rather funny. Man does those patriots have tiny windows.

Some of you guys need to get off your high horses. I have a 4dr rubicon, would I prefer a two door? Hell yeah!!! But the 4dr fits my lifestyle right now. You don't know I've owned 3 others before. Starting with a cj. I know there is some animosity towards the jks that's why I am usually the first person to wave to another. I don't give a crap which model you have if I see you stuck on the side of the road. I'm going to stop and help. Now hummers are a different story....

I wave to everyone, even the 4d ones. Just cause they're diff doesn't mean they're bad. I might have to get one of those when I have kids lol. I only don't wave at night lol.

I will admit that I don't typically wave to the 4doors unless they wave to meh. I will start though after reading ^^^. Sorry! i didn't mean to hurt feelings!

I have found that some of those jeepers that really have their rides decked out think they're better than someone like me with just big tires (31's) or just a stock jeep. I will say that in my area, when the warm weather hits, most of us wave to eachother. I sometimes get a little crazy with the waving. When the top's down and the doors are off, I like to stick my arm out of the side and wave like a madd man and have that stupid JEEP smile on my face. I loves meh jeep!!

I dont even want to tally up my points yet since mine is completely stock besides the tires (for now). I just sold my XJ for a TJ and its getting repaired in the shop. Unfortunately I dont have the funds to fix it up yet because im paying off the loan I took out to get it fixed. Im just mainly waiting on the holidays to get stuff for it until I can start putting money into it myself.

The 2nd day I had my JK I let the wife drive to a little store a few miles away and I drove back. As we were pulling out of the store a JKU was coming down the rode towards us and I told her "Watch, he's gonna wave at us!" and sure enough, he did!

Up to that point, she thought I was nuts (jury still out on that one, LOL) and that the Jeep wave was a myth. Now, whenever she drives it, she waves to all Jeeps!

lol i'm so upset, people in my area must be a$$ holes they never wave at me, i always put a wave up for any wrangler. I drive stock but have a new bumper and putting on a winch. But we still offroad it! I deserve a wave! sheesh. whatever, the people who don't wave simply don't offroad it in my opinion. Well I'll be representin all of western PA

The wave seems alive and well in southern Ontario. I just got my first Jeep, a 2009 unlimited (yes, 4 doors, I carry a lot of photography and camping gear) and I already knew about the wave so I've been doing it and lots of people have responded. I've also been slow off the mark and got waved at and so responded instead. I'll tell you, this is actually one of the reasons I bought a Jeep!

Anyways, for me, the wave while stuck in traffic on a nasty commute just brightens everything up. It reminds me that soon I will be able to leave all that traffic behind and go places they can't go and that there are others, like me, who know it.

Keep wavin'!
