the Lifting Process Begins!!

The hubby started putting the 4" Rusty's lift on my CJ7. this is what he got done before the rain started:

it should only take him a few hours total. it is not that difficult to do it on a jeep with leaf springs. plus he's done it before. he will probably finish it up next weekend.

i wish i could get away with that kind of work in my front yard. as it is, any time we do major work on the cars we have to semi hide it in the side yard at the end of the drive way

hm you know if he has the axle out already, why not swap in a front 60 and 14 bolt rear..

nah, the front axle was already swapped. the po put dana 44 from a scout up front. the dana 60 is a better axle than the 44, but i think it is overkill for the kind of wheeling i do. i am all about building (or having my hubby build) a strong capable rig, but i don't want it to be so capable that it is effortless to go over obstacles.

I was speaking more from a strength view, than trail view. Trust me, having bigger axles does not mean you get over the trail with little effort...

that is true, but the other problem i have is that i don't have the $$$ to get a "new" set of axles.

Front axle is FINALLY back under the jeep. New wheel bearings, spindle bearings, hubs, and springs. BAJA READY!!
