Talking The YJ has a donor vehicle (grand wagoneer)

So I found a 1985 Grand Wagoneer that was going to squashed , I bought it for $300 (only 84K, runs, drives, but frame is rotted).... My plan is to rip the d44 out and do a SOA set-up in my YJ, and then after that the AMC v8 360 possibly with auto tranny swap into it.

Here are some question you can hopefully answer for me:
What kind of gears come in the 44's from the waggy?
What kind of tranny (i think its a 3spd) and T-case is in it?
If you can find a spec list for the waggy, please post it up.

I'm sure I'll have a boat load of more questions

It will be a fun project, I love the sound and power of the 360 motor, I cant wait to start it!

And of course I'll keep you guys updated with pics and info

Thanks,
Neil

Some Wagoneers had passenger side drop front axles. Have you checked to make sure it's on the Drivers side?

Going to do anything about the frame on it?

Sounds like a fun project rig, keep us updated.
