There's no such thing as a dumb question

......how do you guy get your doors off without scuffing up the paint on the bolts that hold the doors on? Got my first Jeep and even though its a bit chilly out I'm itching to take the doors off. Whoever had it before me must of never taken them off. Do you just need a socket with a rubber insert or push a small cloth in it or something?

The paint is pretty tough but I just use a can of spray paint when needed. Mine are black so the color match is easy.

I have found that I needed the right torx socket and an ample amount of cussing and praying. If the cussing and praying aren't in the correct proportions then the damn bolts strip and you are screwed.
