They F$#@KING BROKE INTO MY JEEP!!!

Son of a..............!!!!!!!!!

I went on a hike with a buddy of mine at this park. I went on a one hour hike, came back, saw a group of people gathered calling the police.

I had to get to work, so I drove off but I noticed that my wallet was missing and that the glove compartment was open with my Ipod direct connect wire hanging.

I said, WTF, I've been robbed. I drove back and talked to the girls. All five cars had one of their windows smashed. I guess I forgot to lock the door because no windows of mind were smashed.

They stole my Ipod (F#$CKK!!!), my portable GPS device, and my wallet (F#@#CK, SON OF A!!!) with $60 in it, but they didn't take my Alpine head unit, my amp, or sub, but more importantly, the JEEP was untouched except for him opening the doors with his hands.

I'm kinda happy he stole it because I was able to buy an Itouch(something I would've never bought) but I needed to replace my Ipod to I bought it. By the way, this thing is AMAZING!!! I'm so glad I bought it. And I bought a nicer, bigger screen GPS with live traffic.

I also feel a bit scared and mistrustful. I don't know, someone I don't even know stole some of my things. These are things I worked hard for and cherished and enjoyed them. People can just break windows and take stuff that isn't theirs. I guess I feel violated and hurt. I am a very trustworthy guy and I give all people the benefit of the doubt. I guess this guy needed my things more than I needed them.

O well. Thanks for reading.

Cut their hands off I say. That sucks and way you cut it.

I had mine broke into last summer. Doors were open and they cut the passenger side window anyway. All they stole of some spare change in the console. They left the CB, My Maglight, a few random cd's and all my candy bars and a 150.00 pr of Oakley's. Then they tossed my Carhart jacket out on the ground and unzipped the rear side windows.... wierd thieves. I'm glad they were stupid thieves though.

I keep my doors unlocked all the time. The funny thing is that I do lock them when the top is off though. Don't be paranoid because of this, due to my job I can tell you that it happens all the time, all over the place.

That really sucks. Sorry man. I can remember that feeling you get as soon as you realize someone has taken your junk. I lost about 250 CD's, a discman, and the window they busted. This was before the cd burner was invented so all those discs were originals. Just be thankful it was your jeep and not your house. You get a whole nother feeling when you get home and realize someone has been in it and take some of your prized possessions. It's a whole nother level of "I wanna throw up/beat the living piss out of someone all at the same time".

Make sure you get ALL those cards canceled. Which GPS did you get?

Wow.that was deep man.I can't even imagine if my house was broken into . I think if it happened, it would duck with my head for sure.

Thanks for all the support all. You guys rule.I'm kinda tempted to not lock any of my cars now.

Btw, I am in the bathroom on the throne typing this on my new itouch. I'm kinda glad he stole that iPod now

1) TMI
2) I know exactly what you mean, yesterday I bought a Samsung Omnia i900. It's pretty much the same thing as the iTouch but made by Samsung. These things are freaking amazing.... WiFi, Bluetooth, SatNav, MS Office, Internet Explorer, Windows Media, TV Out, 5MP Camera, Cell Phone... the list just goes on and on. Just got the Tom Tom software loaded this afternoon.

Nice. Your taking it to a whole new level now. Not only do you post in the wrong threads but now your posting with the wrong user name.

Locking my jeep is pointless, soft top and doors they want something bad enough they could open my door and take it, anyone know how to lock the tailgate on a YJ?

Your ignition key should do the trick. You may need to lubricate it some first so you won't break your key off or twist it. I have mine working well, but it still twists the key slightly... Make sure you have a spare. I only lock the tailgate. A small toolbox/tool chest bolted down with the drawers facing the tailgate makes a nice spot to lock items up in. I also made a fake floor/box behind the backseat with an opening to the tailgate to raise the tool box up on and provide more storage.

your 87 had gm keys. there was a seperate key for the locks than the ignition. it should be the same key as the doors, or do you only have one key? if you only have one key for the ignition, you can have a locksmith make a key for your doors and tailgate, or if you have a key for your doors, but it doesn't work in the tailgate, then either the tailgate has a different lock, or its just screwed up.

back to topic, i don't know if its been said, but i really hope you didn't have your social security card in there, or on your license.

this is a good time to say it, don't have the dmv put your ss# on your license for this reason, now the wallet is stolen, and they got your ss#. if you don't tell the dmv not to put it on, it will be on your license.

locks are for honest people, if someone wants something they are going to take it, just enjoy the fact that you are a target of someone who is pathetic enough to take something and not the pathetic guy! anyways i'm sorry your stuff got stolen. you work hard for your stuff and then somone takes it!

at least in illinois if you don't tell them not to, it will be there.

and 87, if you only have the square ignition key, you could have a locksmith make a key for the locks. locking anything on a soft top is kinda pointless, but i used to lock the tailgate, that stuff is kinda locked down that way.

maybe it's a state by state thing, but NJ and PA don't even give you that option. i didn't even realize that some states put ss# on licenses. that is not a number that i just want hanging out there for anyone to be able to see.
