Bad idea. Just buy a prius and keep the Jeep. I have a '06 prius in the ranks.

1.) Prius is not nearly as safe as a jeep.

2.) jeep could beat Prius in a race

3.) Prius doesn't have 4wd

4.) jeep looks better than Prius

5.) jeep has better long term resale value

6.) jeeps are usually 9/10 on women pickup

7.) Prius would scare all 10 women away!

8.) Prius makes you look like a child molester

9.) who cares about had mileage!

10.) Jeep is more efficient as it is spelled with only four letters and had only one syllable while Prius had five letters and two syllables.

My wife has 2012 Prius Plug-In.

Go test drive Prius
1. You'll feel small & less manly...I mean, way less...you'll be remembered as "that guy with the tiny...car"
2. One of SLOWEST car I've ever driven....(even my wife told me the car feels slow)
3. If you are planning to buy a used Prius, forget it...way too many problems w/ battery. If you are planning to buy a new, compare the price of Prius with 2013/4 JK.

If MPG & $ is your concern, Prius isn't a good choice because price of Prius starts high & there are many cheaper & reliable small/midsize sedan that get 30+ mpg.

Prius and other hybrid cars are being a target and being hacked. I wouldn't purchase that type of vehicle for now if I was you.

I bet the prius isn't the only thing in that family getting something stuffed in its rear.

I say forget the Prius and go buy yourself a VW Golf TDI - you'll get 35-50 mpg (I know I drive one currently, a 6 sp manual trans) and it's torquey and fun to drive.
It'll beat a prius any day and get BETTER gas mileage. They are also cheaper MSRP.
In fact, if you want my 2013 I'll sell it to you for 21k this weekend, just come to Cali

LOL, I don't think BAP would come To Cali for a winged Pegasus! LOL I know I wouldn't, I might spring for the gallon of gas that starts the fire, that burns the whole state to the ground though.

IF you're serious and happen to want a econobox, look for a used Yaris or similar city car type deal. They get decent MPG and can be had for quite a bit less than a hybrid drivetrain.

If you really want to buy new, and need something bigger, test drive a TDI VW.

I'm lucky not to have to drive that far, even though my Jeep is a DD. The last few vehicles I've had averaged under 10K miles a year. So MPG isn't a big deal.

If you have a YJ the Prius is gonna ride better, get 10X better mileage, have more power, still have a warranty and have a better sound system. And we all know Toyotas never break.

Now if you would like something that is more capable I might suggest the Subaru Forester...

Yea, you may need a new battary, but I think you can get em at Home Depot or Amazon for like 100$. Now they are gonna make an AWD version... thats a BETTER car and can go the same places and has more power and saves little bunnies and has more room and has better comferts and is cooler looking and is from a better cmopany.... i mean duh!!!!! I cant wait to get one and take her off road for a camping trip, gona be awesome!!!!iiii!!!!
