1. Chrome. It works for some, but not my thing. Personally, I am a fan of flat black.
2. Balls hanging from the rear. If you have them, ok, but I would personally walk than put them on my Jeep.
3. Low profile tires and lowering kits. I just dont understand that.

Ever try carrying a half-stack and a 5ft long guitar case in the trunk of a 2-door? Try it. You'd probably see the point.

BTW, that's just a crappy guitar a buddy from high school gave me. I'm fixing it up. See half-stack in the background. FWIW, I did NOT put that uh...paintjob on that guitar.

Well, what do I know, I own a 4 door, so I'm a poser.

What do I hate on Jeeps...

1. Big, stupidass rims with "rubberband" tires on them.

2. Chrome light covers

3. Zombie Rescue stickers

4. When a Jeep has 4 big aftermarket wheels on it and a stock spare on the rear.

5. Roof racks

6. Chrome grills

Yeah, the zombie response team sticker thing has gotten quite annoying. You see them on just about anything around here. I saw one on a Buick the other day...that was when I decided those stickers aren't cool anymore...

Maybe I'm just too old but I fail to realize the point of this sudden infatuation with zombies.

Me too. I'd like to see the age group of those with any type of zombie stickers. I'm 42 and would never put something like that on my Jeep. If I was a betting man I would say the majority of the zombie sticker crowd would fall in the 25 and under crowd. Just a hunch.

Agreed I'm 29 and shake my head every time I see someone post a picture on the forum of them on their jeep. Maybe it's a zombie thing and we just don't understand

I'm 32 and a zombie nerd. Then again, have been since I saw Romero's Dead movies back when I was a kid. I've never been much into horror movies but my love of zombies has been deep seated in that culture.

It's a zombie thing...

I'm a zombie when I don't get enough sleep!

But seriously, this is up there with the whole "Chuck Norris Destroys All" thing. I just roll my eyes. Then there's the "Chuck Norris is a zombie, Jesus is a zombie, this guy's a zombie, that guy's a zombie, blah blah blah."

I'm 38 years old and like any guy my age, I love a good 80s vamp or zombie flick but the whole thing about how zombies have taken over the world is ridiculous.

Another commonality I see are "Punisher" skull decals all over the place. Hey, don't get me wrong, I love the Punisher, as I used to read the comics all the time, and I even enjoy the ONE Punisher film starring Thomas Jane and John Travolta, but the other two (Dolph Lundgren, Ray Stevenson) were some of the worst films I've ever seen.

I think a lot if the infatuation has to do with the campiness of all of it too.

I know there's a lot of tongue in cheek camp that comes out of that culture (Evil Dead, Punisher, Zombies, Pulp Fiction) that sticks in my mind as being a fun part of pop culture. I buy into all of it.. and I like the idea of being just nerdy enough to celebrate it without taking it seriously.

That said, I'm also the guy about to spray my jeep flat black and go all out on the zombie thing because it's fun.

Right, and that's cool, but the thing about it is that you like zombies because you grew up with Romero's "Dead" flicks, just as many still love Legosi's work, even younger generations.

For me, personally, I never really got into zombie flicks. I sat through Romero's first one and didn't really care for it; it just failed to strike a fear factor for me, but William Peter Blatty's "The Exorcist" had me nearly shitting my pants when I saw it; I was 15 years old. To this day, I refuse to watch that film by myself.

I have to say, the scariest film I've ever seen was "The Exorcist," BY FAR.

The exorcist WAS scary. I didn't see it until it was almost 20 years old (and I was 16-17 at the time), but yeah.. scary even now.

Without any HORRORS/Zombies/or wild scares, I'm afraid that "On the Beach" was just about my scariest movie-

I spent too many years under water in Nuke subs and that movie was just a fingertip away-

We're very lucky !

No film gets campier than "The Lost Boys," which is by far one of my favorite films of all time. I absolutely love that movie.

My favorite horror film series is "A Nightmare On Elm Street." Yeah, they're cheesy, but Freddy Krueger had a personality. As for the latest "Michael Bay" rendition, what a turd...

Some people tend to take things way too serious. I have a FB page and it's widely known amongst my friends I'm a HUGE Heavy Metal fan. I also record my own music. I've mentioned many a time I'm going to put out a Heavy Metal record (which has since become Chinese Democracy Pt II) and I've been going on about that for nearly 2-3 years. I've written maybe a total of three songs.

So, I'll write a song and then post it and when I do, I'll just post something like, "I know all of you, my hardcore, rabid fans, have been dying to hear the next song, so here it is. Yes, I am a true Metal God, and I bestow upon thee, blah blah blah."

It is AMAZING that some people actually believe I think I'm a "Metal God" or a rock star. EVERYBODY knows it's a joke except for one of my friends, who still dreams of one day being a rock star (at 38 years old...). He's so convinced I wanna be a rock star that he wants to record with me, put out a record, and go on tour. Then there's my younger brother, whom I really don't get along with, and he likes to call me a loser and tell me I'll never be a rock star, I'll never be this, never be that, blah blah blah. I find it downright amusing how out of everyone, there are people who take this seriously.

Here's the rub. It's fun. It's a joke and it's a parody. Sure, while I most certainly put some effort into my music, I have never had any plans of touring outside of my music room; I simply just enjoy recording music and sharing it with my friends. Will I ever put out a record; not officially, but I would certainly like to compile about 10-12 songs together and say, "I made a record." Even if nobody hears it, that's okay by me, because I am, after all, doing it for myself.

Dare I say I used to be scared of "Silent Night, Deadly Night" or "Flowers In the Attic?" Then again, I was like...12.

Anyone remember "Deadly Friend?"

That is one of the reasons I have a busted ol blazer. Or i guess you could pull the backseats out and get it to fit. I don't know that it woul dbe all that fun to lift a 4X12 that high though.

I didn't particularly care for the Unlimited until after I saw one on some large tires and a lift. After seeing it, I actually liked it far more than the 2dr.

I wanted a vehicle that was practical and fun. I don't find a 2dr Wrangler to be practical. I find it nice that I'll have room to carry my stuff and/or a few extra people, plus have some fun. I love how people with 2drs act like Unlimiteds are the plague when they're the same vehicles, save for a slightly longer wheel base and 2 doors. The only thing I could see as to why people don't like it is because of the profile.

Well, I'm 64 and find it a bit of fun on the Jeep. I see where many responses refer to the Zombie movies and that aspect of the word. I never watched 'em...not on purpose, anyway. I can't speak for everyone, but for me and many of my Veteran Friends, we tend to use the word "Zombie" as a euphemism for those undesireables that may come marching up Main Street one day. Taken in that context, a Zombie "Responder" takes on a different flavor...IMHO. Perhaps you had to be there to appreciate that mindset.

This. Being prepared for whatever happens is another way to look at zombies too. Zombie can be a variable that means anything form a military state to riots to an outbreak or wild animal or social issue.... being prepared for any of that is what I think of when I think of a Jeeps.

The CDC agrees with me:
