This is a dumb question

I just bought my jeep in December. I just took it offloading for the first time a few days ago on the beach. I've giving it a good bath but haven't done so under the hood yet. Is there something I should. Or shouldn't do while doing this. Should I cover some things? Can I just hose it all down? How do I go about doing this?

Yes, you definitly want to get any salt and sand washed out of there. Put a plastic trashbag over your air intake and spray away. try to be a little gentler around the ECU and other electrical components, but a little water isn't going to hurt them.

I found one of those rubber stoppers that are in the wine barrels fits the trumpet on the air cleaner perfect. My wife bought some of the barrels to decorate the patio and I thought "hmmm", that looks like it might fit. When you own a jeep you are always thinking.
