Times your jeep has made you proud

ok guys name on or two times your jeep has made step back smile and go yep thats my jeep.

I have two the first being when one of my buddys was giving me shit about how i had no power. then he went and got his 2003 ford f350 turbo deisel stuck. Who pulled him out? ME!!
that made me smile hours and he hasnt lived it down yet.

the second would be when were at CLiffs off road park and all these atvs were trying to go up a hill and couldnt make it. SO i pulled up went down one side and then punched it to get up the other half way up i just stopped movin all fours were spinning screaming and smokin. then it grabbed and i pulled up the hill in like smoking glory with all the atv people cheering and screaming and this guy behind me in a jeep was honkin and cheering. It Was AWESOME

LETS HERE SOME OF YOURS

the other time was when i was pulling it up here, we were driving like 45 and eveyon was slowing down as they passed to look at it

thats about it, but im hoping to have many more now that im gonna get it registered, so it will finally be able to leave the property!

Went to my farm in WV last week. We have a couple 250,400,500cc 4x4 ATVs there, always have since they were popular. My uncle said my jeep "MIGHT" make it 1/2 mile up the main trail, but that was it. Too nasty from the rain. Took my dad riding around, up the mountains etc. When we got back down, my dad showed my uncle the pictures we were taking. We had put over 30 miles on the Jeep in 8 hours, and been places on our property that neither had EVER seen. They lived on that farm, and grew up there. I was proud of my Rubi...she didnt even break a sweat Funny, I think she likes dirt more than asphalt...

When I pulled out my mother-in-law's half witted boyfriend out of my back yard using my new winch..... I warned him he would get stuck but beer muscles got the best of him.

(I now have a Chevy bow-tie symbol with a hash mark painted on the winch relay box)

I have two stories on my one buddy late 90's Blazer... My buddy and his old man were drinking one night and got some beer muscles after coming out of the grocery store to get more beer of course. They decided it would be "smart" and fun to take the blazer wheelin behind the grocery store (he just got some new radials that day oooo) where theres a sort of storm runoff. or a poor attempt at a pond (a big freaking hole filled with mud and grass) needless to say they got stuck and me being the nice guy that I am took a chance of getting arrested for tresspassing and destructng private property (I typically tread lightly, thank you very much). I got the tow ropes out went in the hole, two pulls and I drove up the enbankment backwards while he had to floor it to make it up. Just goes to show how much tires mean. Thank fully no one got hurt, arrested, dWI. Oh I wasn't drinking.

The second time, Yep he was drinking and he put the blazer in a snow bank....ON A STRAIGHT ROAD!!!! He walks to my house(drunk as can be in a snow storm, yep That's Buffalo) I get the tow ropes and go down there and watch him almost get a DWI as a cop pulls up while he was in the truck putting it in drive. We talked our way out of it( I don't know how) parked his blazer across the street and took him home.

Oh he's not a good/smart drinker!!!
You drink more that one or two. You should be waiting it out or handing off the keys.

I was pretty proud when my 2000 TJ Sport yanked out a 2006 Rubicon, not once but 3 times on a trail ride in some nasty mud.

I never got stuck, I was even in the same mud when I pulled him out the first time. I didn't think it would do it, but she really surprised me.

Love the stories.
My good friend has been giving me shit for about a year since he got his Nissan TITan 4x4 w/factory lockers. He's been crowing about his HP and locker for way too long, all the while railing on my 98 and 04 TJ and my other buddy's 99 TJ. Just had a huge 4th party and several old friends stayed late and we found some beer muscles. Long story short we called TITan's bluff and headed to the mud hole. He claimed he was "about to make a Nissan commercial". Not sure if it made national news but we've had RECORD rainfall in N. TX this year - I mean tons! I'm talkin a MUD-HOLE! Black clay w/10"+ standing water. Needless to day the TITan made it about 150 yards following my every move. After dominating the nastiness I later realized I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT IN 4WD! He stuck his POS up to the frame. So deep he knocked the front license plate off and he had to dig down to get to his hitch to hook up the tow rope. He was stuck so damn deep it took a super-moded YJ, 98 TJ and 04 TJ, all daisy-chained together to get his sorry ass out. Once out of the monster mud hole, he still couldn't get traction in the regular mud. So while he was sitting there stuck we both drove though the very same mud-hole multiple times in our TJ's just to rub it in. Then we had to drag that useless truck all the way to the pavement!

i learned my lesson as well. Full size trucks are.... Interesting.... in the mud. Much Much Much more so than SUVs, Jeeps, and small trucks. All the doo-dads in the world dont really help a Full size unless its a regular cab short bed with mud tires To heavy, and all the weight is up front. Only the front tires really do anything. Any short bed isnt TOO bad, but it NEEDS to be in 4x4. Long beds on the other hand, need to be veeery careful

I had a 3/4 ton crew cab long bed 4x4. Penguin, you remember that one.... We did a 5 point turn at a dead end. Front tires hit the grass. No rain for over a week, but it was back in the woods so the ground was damp. Long story short, walking on the grass it was dry.. hell I was wearing my dress shoes I believe and you still cant tell, but penguin still ended up pushing that big b$$$$ backwards while I was in 4 low with that 6.0 screaming trying to get it to back off the grass.

BTW the rear tires were still on asphalt. still couldnt pull itself backwards.. LOL My Jeep would have thrown a piston rod at my eye if I put it in 4x4 to drive over that dry azz grass

The first time was when we went to the mountains, in winter, with a friend and his Chevy half ton 4x4. We were in front, plowing through snow half way up the grill, he was following us. We went around a curve in the trail and he didn't. We turned around to go find him and he's stuck in the snow. No matter what he did, he couldn't get loose. We hooked up to him and pulled him out and got him back to pavement.

The second... well, every time I go somewhere and people turn to look at my jeep and drool. I get a lot of that from the Dad's that come to pick up their kids at my work.

Guy at work has a Rubi, hardtop, full metal doors. Don't know what year. Anyway, after lifting and new wheels/tires he starts asking questions...I said go to WF...a couple of days later, I give him a ride to his Jeep, and he had trouble getting in. The next day, he asked "what was the name of that web site?" I wrote it down for him. He was really digging the "upgraded" Wrangler!

Yep, I had a F-150 supercrew FX4 with bfg's and was heading down a logging road during duck season, drove through a low spot in the road, and it would've been ok, but the bog hole was just long enough that the front and rear tires were in it, 4 low and all that happened was I got in deeper. Just too heavy, and it is two times worse if the truck is a deisel.

But back on topic, my jeep made me proud today when a hottie in a mercedes that I had never met followed me in to sonic, she said "cute jeep" I said, "thats why i bought it" then got her #

Oh cant wait!

Riding around all day today in my jeep made me very proud. Had the top down and was sporting my new jeep hat. Odhinn was riding his jeep with OC in the passenger seat. He also had his top and doors off.

We got many looks and many waves. I got "Jeepers tan" Now, well its more of a burn! LOL My arms are pretty red and so is my face, but I had a blast today.

A few years back, when I lived in the Mesa area, we had a Sazuki Samurai that my dad drove as a DD. Well on his way home from work one day, he saw a nice mud hole on the side of the road. So he went for it and ended up getting stuck. Big time. Up the the axles front and rear in this clay like mud. I guess the hole used to be a spot of standing water for some time. The stuff stank BAD.

So I had my moms XJ, grabbed a tow strap and went down to get him. When I showed up a cop was there talking to him. He said,"That wont pull him out"

I said,"Yeah it will"

"Ok - if it does I won't give your dad a ticket"

Tossed the strap to my dad, he tied it on, I dropped the XJ in 4Hi and gave it a bit of gas and ripped him outta there like it was nothing.

"No ticket right?"

"Have a nice day and don't get stuck anywhere else"

Can a MJ play? We had a 20 ft trailer with 10,000lbs of barn tin on it, and my Dad left it parked by the Corral. In the Spring. He hooked up his '99 F-150 (with positrac - he didn't need no stinkin' 4x4) and buried it. I took the trailor off, pulled his F-150 to a safe location (oh yeah, Triton engine), and backed up to the trailor with my little 4.0 MJ (with AT's). Because of his ruts, I also pulled down a 20' cedar tree as I was yanking the trailor out. Never broke traction. Dad is now looking at a CJ for sale down the road...

Yesterday, have the XJ down this week, nurse was broken down at the base of a long hill, hospital about 2 miles up top, Hyundai SUV, dead, heavy traffic, pulled around backed up, asked what the problem was, pulled my strap out, stuck the dring insert into the tomken bumper and ran the strap thru the tiedown loop on the hyundai, pulled that thing two miles up the hill and into the hospital parking lot. I was proud but I was very very dissapointed with the other drivers, while I was stopped and asking her what the problem was I was getting flipped off and cursed at by the asshat drivers that were more concerned with making the light and seeing if they could help. If I had had one of the TJ's with their warn bumpers there would have been some serious carnage out there for sure, I would have played can opener on few benzes and saabs.
