Tired of gettng blown!

Ahhh this Kansas wind is kicking my arse today, we have 25-35 MPH constant winds, and 50 gusts. The only reason i was late for class this morning was cuz i had a 25 mile drive straight into the wind and my 4cyl has the the testicular fortitude of a 7 year old girl and could only drive 55 mph. Any other midwesterners hating this wind?

Yep. It's getting pretty old. But I've tried bitching about the weather enough times to know it doesn't do any good. It just makes the days when the weather is great all the much better.

You need to look on the positive side of things.....if the wind stays the same you should make it home in record time. With it at your back you might be able to bring those 4 cyl's of fury up to 55.

There should be a forum rule prohibiting deceptive topic titles. I was going to PM you my cousin's office number, he's a shrink.

Nope I have the same wind.

Never changes here. I just live with it. But I take my time where ever I drive.

Last night, I nedded to go out to buy something and it was f**g freezing: -21Celsius (and it is almost like this since Friday). I don't need to tell you how loud the body (the hardtop, actually) was squeaking and cracking. I was afraid it will break in pieces and fall apart like an egshell. The engine started, but only after long cranking and praying.

It was 60 degrees here this past weekend, just enough to give me a good case of spring fever and now they are calling for a foot of snow! I hate the winter!

I like the winter, even with the -24 Celsius that we had this morning. Especially when driving my Jeep.

Lots of wind here too...had a 30mph headwind going home...with that, and a hill, I had to downshift to 4th to maintain 70mph...(first time this has happened to me.) OH how I love the 4.0L

Words you'll never hear from my lips are "I'm tired of getting blown"...under no circumstances will those words come out of my mouth.

I love my 97 TJ 4cylinder 5 speed but on a windy day there are times I don't think it would do 70 if you threw it off a building!

In a strong headwind I usually tack like a sailboat. It may take me hundreds of miles out of the way and add hours to the trip, but when I run out of beer I won"t let no stinkin wind slow me down going to the corner store!
