TJ overhead storage?

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has purchased any of the overhead storage racks for their TJ? I would really like to get one but I wanted to see some pics or comments about them, also would it be easy to put a cb into one of these bad boys, while at the same time hiding wires? Looking forward to your replies, thanks.

Here is a picture of one model I am referring too.

Not that brand but messed with many of the Tuffy overheads. (looks the same as your posted photo).

Wires are easy to hide. Just run them through the rollbar padding.

Have several of them at home. Love them all. I have the two door version and the single door version. My Icom hf, vhf,uhf ham radio and Stealth Cobra CB fits in it perfectly. Wires don't show up. I hide everything. Best place to get one used for a good price is Ebay or Craigslist. It is definitely a must have item. It prevents thieves from running off with your radios. You can attach maglites to each side what ever you want. I also have the glove box for the TJ. Tough as nails. I leave my TJ with the doors and top off and no one messes with it. It also has a motion alarm and it is lo jacked so that helps also.

The one pictured is a single compartment one with a removable face ICOM transceiver mounted below the Stealth Cobra Radio. The dual compartment one is nice also but remember that the secondary compartment is a little further back and not easy to access.

I have the single-bay Tuffy console myself, and would recommend it for sure. I've heard many complaints about the two-bay version, mostly that the rear bay is basically impossible to work with while driving or that there's a lot of rattling with it. The single-bay is silent unless I go over a speed bump at speed or something.

All of the Galaxy radios are too deep to fit in a Tuffy overhead console.
