tj pinion angle

I am adjusting my rear pinion angle with my adjustable rear upper and lower controls arms to install a cv .drive shaft in my Rubicon. What angle are others close to.. or any tips to get best angle? Also I hear this can change your coil brackets so spring is no longer seated correctly... can anyone shed some light in this?

I just installed a SYE and CV driveshaft on my jeep wrangler a couple of weeks ago. I didnt have adjustable lower control arms, but I did have adjustable upper control arms. I pretty muched eyed the angle of my rear driveshaft in comparison the my u joint cap and adjusted my control arms accordingly. I know I should of used an angle finder, but I haven't had any vibes or issues yet.

Get a magnetic angle finder and stick it on the flat gasket surface of your diff cover. That surface is exactly 90 degrees off your pinion angle. Find the angle of your drive shaft with the angle finder and set your pinion 2 degrees below that (towards the ground) with simple math and a magnetic angle finder it's not too bad

Yup, say your d shaft is 14 degrees you want your pinion at 12. So with the angle finder stuck to the rear gasket surface it's should read 102 degrees to give you the 12 on your pinion

I just did mine and hit 75mph on it for the first time and I'm getting a weird vibe that was never there before. It's like a mild vibe then goes away then right back then it's gone again and it slowly eases in to and out of the vibration. Think it could b a misbalanced driveshaft or am I doing something wrong? It's a rugged ridge sye and Adams driveshaft

Ever figure it out? I have there setup as well and am not sure if it is a diveshaft issue or the transfer case output.

I did a tummy tuck and adjusted rear uppers... it is still there but minimal... with the tummy tuck i had to change ft pinion angle and front uppers ... i think 7.5 degrees is factoryish mine measures at 5.5 ish and it drives good. im gonna try to get it to 5 to get front drive shaft a lil straighter... i was told not go below that because it does not center during a turn like factory...
