Cool To Buy or to Build... That is the question?

I bought my very first Jeep in 2002; a Grand Jerokee Loredo.
In 2012, I bought my very first REAL Jeep; a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4x4, 4 door, soft top. I FREAKIN' LOVE LOVE LOVE this vehicle.

I am also a HUGE WWII fan and have wanted a Willy's Jeep since I was 8 years old.

My question is to buy to build? What say you out there in Jeep land?

I guess it depends on how much you know about fabrication. My Grandfather purchased a 1940s Willys and it had a lot of rust on it and there needed to be a lot of work done to it. Fast forward to now and it has a Mercedes diesel engine, and the body has been cleaned of rust. All work done by him. Also keep in mind that my grandfather wakes up at 6am goes into his garage, doesnt come out until 6pm. He lives, breaths cars. Restoring and creating classic cars from scratch is his thing.

IMO if you have fabrication skills then id say it would be a fun project. If you don't then id stick to buying a built one.
