Top color questions

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Bestop Trektop NX. Really love the looks of it.

Couple questions. First, what is the diff between black denim and black diamond? I can not get a good color shot of the two. the diamond appears a little darker, is there any diff in how it looks or feels beyond that?

Second, I read somewhere that only the black denim was made from sailcloth and spice/black diamond were standard material. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Last, I curently have a red sport 2001 tj with black top/interior. But love the look of the spice top. Does anyone have, or has anyone seen, a black interior that added spice colored top aftermarket? If so how does it look and do you have some good pics you could post?

Thanks for everyone who responds!

This never works well on monitors. But here's a try.

Go here and download the BIG images.

Black diamond and black denim are essentially the same fabric, just different prints. Denim is what Jeep used until 2003 (I think), and then they changed to diamond. So diamond is subtly more modern, maybe. Some say it hides dirt better. Some probably say the opposite.

Thanks.

What is your opinion on the spice top on a jeep with black interior?

And are all 3 colors sailcloth?

I am loving the trektop nx and def going that route.

Don't ask me about colors. I'm the kind of guy who wears black socks and sandals. Colors are just opinions. Yours counts for the most in this situation.

All are the same fabric.

Hey, I have almost the exact same coloring on my Jeep as yours. I personally wouldn't mix the black interior with spice but totally agree with Geoff.

It's your Jeep, your opinion and you should get spice if that's what you like. It's your money!!
