Top made of...?

Hello, I was at EMS today and found some tent/backpack etc repair things. I was wondering if they would work for the small tears in my factory soft top (1997 TJ). One of them said "for Fabric" and the other one said for "Fabric impregnated with vinyl" I was wondering if either of these were worth a try ($8 and Im sure better than the duct tape that is there) and if so which one to try.
Thanks!

Your top is made of two layers, a fabric layer and a vinyl (PVC) layer. So the "vinyl impregnated" product would be best. It's not technically impregnated, but it's close (hey, that's really close to what a girlfriend once told me).

There's a repair product I've heard our customer support team recommend, but I can't remember what it is. You could give them a ring, or ask me tomorrow.

Water: Seeping through at the seams may be stopped by applying 3-M Scotchgard® on the inside of the seams. Rips in the fabric may be repaired with Bondex® iron on patches. Iron the patches to the Inside of the top, carefully following the Bondex® instructions.
i am pretty sure that you can get this brand of patch from wally-world. check with geoff or bestop's customer service if you have any concerns

Hey - Are you trying to make me look bad? I don't think I need your help for that!
-------------------

Yeah, that's the name I was trying to think of. Bondex. Not really certain if it's anything super special, or just the brand product they liked when they wrote the information.

Thank you 'Ms. Gano'!
