It was 73 here today, so I put the top down and took the doors off. Drove to my grandma's and ended up working on her computer and just got home a few minutes ago. It was a little bit of a chilly ride I tell ya

Oh yeah, it was nice. I'm getting ready to go to the store in a minute and I asked my wife if she wants to come with me. "But it's cold!". "Grab a jacket"

Drock, you will love the OME lift. The ride is unbelievable and it flexes good for a small lift! My next move is to take the hardtop off for the summer and install the new Trektop NX I got for Christmas....have to do it next week before bike week as I am taking the Streetglide and the TJ this year !!

yea, im just glad to be past the decision stage. I think it will be perfect for me, I talked to Dirk at DPG and have a game plan of how to buy his kit in "stages" so ill be adding a BL within a week or two and new shoes at end of month. Then gotta save like mad to get the OME to finish up my lift. Then ill be tackling bumpers, then.........

I have a brand new "NX" top sitting in the garage. I need to break it out and swap out the old top. It's pretty warm here in South Carolina.

Hey Drock1979 - How about a pic of the rack you made. I need to do something like that so I can swap it myself - don't have a garage to do a ceiling thing, have to do it outside.

Thanks - cool thread. Still winter here (finally) but maybe we'll get some warm weather soon.

Been topless and doorless for a week here. Chilly in the morning, but I work 2 miles from the house. Rained 1 day so I took the trailblazer and left the jeep in the garage. Sure is strange weather. Supposed to be almost 80 tomorrow. Was 81 Tuesday. Weird.

I will try to get some soon, it's not pretty but does the job and had to do it outside too.

Thanks, I don't care about pretty. I've thought of some ideas with a couple of tall sawhorses, but haven't tried it yet. Heck it's still snowing here! Still waiting on my Trektop, too.

There it is. Cost was like $20 bucks for the ratchet tie downs I had the rest. I balance it between the ratchets and 2x4 sitting under it so they both are supporting it and it's been fine there all last summer and no issues even with some major winds and storms. Just measure width from inside saw horse leg to save from having to redo. So jeep will fit. I'm getting ready for bigger tires so I may need to widen it for next top swap. Good luck. It's really simple and works well. Just ratchet each one like two times and work around to lift it fairly even and your good to go.

Hey Drock1979,

That is SWEET! Thanks for posting those - who needs a garage with that rig?
I could definitely see building one of those, although I'll have to spring for the lumber too. Still shouldn't cost more than a C note. I'll probably have some questions when I start laying it out.

Thanks. And just get pressure treated wood since it will be outside and with lumber you should be well under a C note. And just shoot the questions if you have any.

Well it's still plenty cold in Colorado and March and April are aour snowiest months too. But once it warms up the top goes down and the spider web doors go on! Nothing like snow drift bustin with the top down and regular doors off!!!!

Its 53 in Alabama today and i decided to take the doors off and ride around. A little cold but it was so cool to be riding around with no doors (the day could have only been better if i hadn't dropped the door and put a small dent in the driver side door grrr...oh well it won't be the last ding...scratches and dents give it character!!)
