Touch Up Paint

Hey everyone, I had a thought. Has anyone used the touchup paint through expresspaint.com or any factory touch up paint for that matter in a rattle can or touchup paint pen? I have a few spots on my jeep that have dime sized rust holes that I can take care of myself but I don't have access to a paint booth or gun. I don't need it to be perfect but an 8 out 10 would be nice. I have a blue Jeep and have found the paint through this site via this link...

Chrysler Patriot Blue Pearlcoat B/C - Express Paint

Any thoughts, suggestions or anything is welcome. Thanks, Bill

I bought my touchup paint from the dealership. It wasn't too expensive and the color matched.
I had one hit on my drivers side rocker that was starting to rust so I hit it with a little sandpaper, painted the sanded part, and then used my wife's clearcoat for fingernail polish to finish the job.

An 8 out of 10 is not going to be achieved by touch up paint in spots that large

Agreed.
It is good to stop the rust but, for an obvious spot like a hood, you will be able to tell.
Now, you CAN mask it somewhat by feathering the area with sandpaper, applying the paint, color sanding, and then applying clear but, even then it will not look fantastic.
If you are doing something like a rocker or a door jam, don't worry too much about perfection.

I see, my areas are the fenders. I was thinking of getting some different fenders for it that look a little more sporty etc but nonetheless, I figured I'd see what I could do on the cheap to stop it in it's tracks. Another area is the center body mounts on either side. The cancer needs to be completely cut out and replaced with a piece of U channel I had my friend break for me, no big deal.... The U channel doesn't have to be perfectly matched, hell, I don't even think they clear the under body but areas that are clearly visible, I'd like looking decent.
