I run the Jeep Medic Fabrication engine and tranny skid on my '02 with a manual... got it from

I do run TBT rockers and rear bumper and t/c. I used to wheel with them in AZ... and know their stuff is top quality and really stout. If that's the skid that does what you want, I'd trust TBT all the way. I really do like the vendor for all their stuff... great service, and easy to get a hold of.

If you have the 2.5L, it won't fit.

I have their rockers, side sliders, corners and steering skid and have put them all to the test. If you are worried about stout, TbT isn't an issue. The ONLY issue I have with the TbT oilskid is how it attaches. I'm wondering if you came down on it hard enough would it cause problems where it mounts?

Between that and it not fitting a 2.5L, I opted not to go with it. I went with the Skid row, which protects all the way back to the t-case skid and ties in to it as well.

Thanks for the replies.I went ahead and ordered one today.I am not an extreme rock crawler. But do do some pretty tough trails.I checked Stu Olsens review on the TBT skid and I think it will work well for me.
