I had one of those electronic type and it played pretty good, they don't take up much room but I dont think they like water too well.

You don't need one. We installed on in my buddy's Titan for under $100. We bought some air horns and a tank off a Semi truck in the local junk yard. Bought some air line and some new fittings. He is waiting till next payday to get a new solenoid. it's like 80 bucks. but you don't have to have one.

So without a compressor how are you getting air to run the horns?

With an air compressor, just fill up the tank when you run it dry. Either use your electronic one that you keep in your Jeep, or fill it up at a shop or jiffy lube real quick for free, or ask a Jeep bud to fill it up while your airing your tires up

I must have misunderstood. It's the Compressor that does not work or the solenoid to the power for the compressor?

Ok we are using a solenoid for the switch so he has the chain that hangs down like in a big rig. Otherwise you don't need that type of solenoid. We mounted an air tank under the bed to hold the air. He has a fitting we mounted next to his license plate that he uses to fill up the tank. This way he did not need a compressor. Hope this helps
