There's really not much room there (or anywhere else for that matter) I tried mounting mine where the stock horns are but it just didn't fit. I ended up putting my stock horns back in their place (just to not lose them) and mounting the air horn in the spot in the picture.

I was thinking the same thing. I sure can think of some useful things to spend my money on rather than something to make noise.

also, is there a way to hook it up to my steering wheel's horn? I want to take out the stock horn and put this horn in its place. so far I've only seen train horns with a seperate button (like auxiliary lighting switches) that are mounted somewhere else in the vehicle that is convinient to the owner while the existing horn stays in place.
I have read through this thread, and i feel it is a pretty safe assumption to say that you are younger, probably a couple years younger then i am. now im not gona tell you its a stupid idea, but i do have a few words of advice from things i learned having to deal with the aftermath of my "im a teenager, im a do what i want" phase.

I used to have that same, "i can do what ever i want" attitude. it landed me in some pretty hot water with johnny law. trust me when i tell you that you dont want that kind of trouble. im still paying for my mistakes and will be for years to come, all because i didnt take time to sit back and think, and i mean really think about my decisions.

Ill admit, i do like a nice train horn, it has its place when you are with friends, out in the hills, playing around. but as a primary horn, that is not a place to have it. to wire up a full up train horn like that as your primary, really is not the best idea. first off, if it is illegal in your state, you will have a lot of trouble finding an inspection station that will pass your jeep cause of that horn. inspection stations are not gona put their a$$ on the line just cause you want to have some fun. also, if you are in an area like mine, and use your horn a bit more then average, the air horn will just get annoying. you will start pissing other drivers off, and well, that aint no bag of fun either. ever had a road rager try and run ya off the road? i have, its not enjoyable at all, and not something you want to experience.

if you want to put a train horn on your jeep, go for it. im not gona tell you not to. i just ask that you think about it, be smart about it. dont drive around being a jack a$$ with it.
