tranny similar to NV3500

Hello all, I have a bit a dilemma on my hands. I like the NV3500 ratios a lot, especially the OD at .73, but am worried about the input torque. I have seen the rating at 300 ftlbs. I have a 4cyl now, but would like to do a V8 (5.3, 330-350ftlb) swap in the future. I have read guys running the NV3500 behind 6L with 400rwhp without issues, while others blow them up in V6 s10's.

Is there another transmission that has similar ratios that is not a NV4500? I dont need that low for what I use my jeep for. I have thought about AX-15, but they seem to have roughly the same input spec with similar reviews, and the OD is .79. Its a hug difference but I would like to stay as close to .70 as possible.

The 3500 will handle the 5.3 just fine. But remember its a jeep not a ferrari ... Just don't try and drag race it and grab gears like a sports car and it will be just fine.
