transmission 98

hi hope you can help i just p/u a 1998 wrangler 2.5 ,5 speed question i have is what type of transmission do i have & how many quarts does it take?

4.0l sahara is on a distinguished road
You have a ax5 and I think it's 3 or 4 quarts. You need to use a gl-3 or 4 oil not a 5. A good oil for it is redline mt-90.

A 98 4 cylinder should have the AX5 manual tranny in it and it uses 3.3 quarts.

EDIT: Guess multitasking on the keyboard gets me left in the dust. Great response 4.0.
